Hey guys here is another phpbb tutorial before we start i got this idea from code-projects.com so credits go to them i liked this idea because we all know that wgtools is the best link checker out their so this just integrates it a little bit as before if you haven't got anything nice to say then just don't

If you have no idea what iframe or lightbox is then look at this demo it will explain it

Click check download links and you will notice that a popup will show if the site is down then look at this screenshot

Anyways onto the tutorial 1st you have to have the wgtools mod installed

1st open language/en/viewtopic.php,

Find:

    'LINKCHECK'                => '&nbsp;[<a href="http://wgtools.com/link-checker/?url='.urlencode($_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"] . $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]).'">Check Download Links</a>]',

Replace with:

'LINKCHECK'                => '&nbsp;[<a href="http://wgtools.com/link-checker/?url='.urlencode($_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"] . $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]).'" rel="lyteframe">Check Download Links</a>]',

now open styles/ANY_STYLE/template/overall_header.html

Find:

</title>

After add:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="styles/lytebox/lytebox.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="styles/lytebox/lytebox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

Now you need to download this file extract it and upload the files in root to your root directory

Yea like i said i have never used vb but if you know the basics of vb then it shouldn't be to hard im no phpbb pro but im learning more and more about it

Edit: If anyone uses this can you please let me know i only used byet because i dont run a warez site and they will undoubtedly delete it when they find it
