    Default Raspberry PI Launched today - 35$ for XBMC

    A credit-card sized computer designed to help teach children to code goes on general sale for the first time today. (and their website crashed due to heavy demand)

    What is Raspberry PI?

    Looking like little more than a credit card-sized chip of circuit board, the powerful, fully-programmable PC can plug into any TV and can power 3D graphics and Blu-ray video playback.

    The Pi was created by volunteers in the UK, and all profits go back to a charity.

    Its makers hope that enthusiasts will write software for it, and that it will be used in schools.

    i love XBMC.. use it on my old dell. but seeing it on a credit card sized chip.. EPIC

    should be seeing these standard on tv soon.

    Basically, you can buy cheaper TV without USB, that have internal xvid-h264 decoder and plug it to this, via HDMI or COAX, and a LOT more. This is a whole, small sized, silent,cheap PC, not just XBMC. You can play even 3D games. And power consumption - 3W.

    It's aimed at anyone that is interested in computer science/programming good to see someone helping out with the development of kids now it needs to be introduced in to schools
