If you are using cPanel, I'd highly suggest to either drop all Control Panels altogether, or use some other one. cPanel has been proven to hog a shit load of your server resources ( I think )

1. login to WHM
2. create a normal cpanel hosting account www.xyz.com (if your server name is abc.xyz.com )
3. Then change the server name to abc.xyz.com
4 . Add A Record on this domain's DNS zone (normally this can be done by clicking a button when you chane the server name)
5. Goto the domain's control panel(not the hosting cp) and change the nameservers of this domain to point to this server( create nameservers with the server IPs and assign it to the domain)
