It simply means excessive use of keywords chosen. The standard is 1 kw for every 100 words. I'd like to share you this - Search engines can?t read and understand what an article is all about. They merely depend on numbers which means that if your keyword phrase shows 2% keyword density, it could be the basis for determining what your article is all about + of course great content.

Thank you expertwriter for your reply. Actually this is best practice to write better content on any topic when you target 1 keyword for 100 words.

kw density is ok, but don't focus on it. Consider great content, right choice of kws associated to your biz and regular posting of unique content. You may have noticed that a lot of guys on the web keep mentioning about great and unique content. You should be able to determine this yourself first before I give you my own idea on - "What is a great content?"

Keyword density should not be more than 2% in each article,and in addition to that unique article is also very important.

Actually, excessive use of keywords and keyword stuffing is not the same.

Usual practice about keyword stuffing is that they are hidden on the page, for example same color as background. It is not necessary to be hidden, it can be added at the end of the article, as a block of text. It can also be used in conjunction with plugins, using search terms used to get on that page, where each search term is added one after another. We can see that on many torrent sites. It's usually called : Last Search Terms
These can be linked to other pages, but not necessary.

Excessive use of keywords is technique, where you combine your keywords WITH the article on a particular page.

Again I hear this term "unique article" from klakshman8, are you sure you know what it is? What are you targeting for your unique article; search engines or your readers? If you're only after the first one for a higher ranking on the first page, that's short range. Target your readers to gain long range advantage. But again, what is a real "unique content?"
