It's all about personal opinion.. I myself like vB better because it's been around longer and there's lot more mods, styles, and support for it.. IPB can be nice if you know what your doing

vB as it's easier to mod, more styles, more mods, once familiar with ACP it gets easy...

I like VB doe more mods and more seo options, also IBP will do more load on server, but nicer in them

IPB3 is much more easier to mod, it looks 100x better than vB, it is easier to moderate, easier to manage members.
custom skinning is the only hard thing to do in IPB and the only major downside is the lack of mods compared to vB.

If you want a heavily modded forum with a cheap custom design then go for vB
If you want a simple and good looking forum which is easy to manage then go for IPB


IPB > vB (if you know what you are doing/have enough money)
