    Default Acer aspire 4937g problem when reformating to windows xp

    Hi guys i have a Acer aspire 4937g laptop i wanted to reformat to windows xp but it keep giving me blue screen death after loading the setup. I can reformat vista and windows 7 without any problem. Why i cant reformat to windows xp?
    any help?

    well may i ask is this your version http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/noteboo...781126p,00.htm if not please post your info as to the hardware etc because it may be a bios error causing the issue

    Well, did you made a Backup Driver CD when your laptop had arrived ? because the Aspire 3500-5000 series do not supply with a Backup CD.
    So, if you have it, then, just reinstall everything from it, and let a tech-expert do the installation in Vista or Win 7, because you are doing some mistake there.

    i had this problem a long time ago
    XP doesn't support SATA so go to your bios set it on RAID or IDE.

    @hussie if i change the setting anything will happen? i trying dual boot... will my main window be affecteD?

    I have never tried that with dualboot so i don't know

    If you install Windows XP after installing Windows 7 then your bootloader will get replaced by the old one and you won't be able to boot to Windows 7.To fix that you can use this software:
