Default Hosting offshore, Domain Registrar onshore

    is this a good combo?

any onshore registrar reveals your info with a court order,
would using fake info help? even if fake info is used dont they track down the name of the payee?

are there any offshore domain registrar that wont reveal info to USA?

Nope - 9 times out of 10 the domain registrar won't get involved - it's not their problem as to what's being hosting on a 3rd party server.

Same. I've used many registrars over the past few years and have never had any problems.

They would most likely ask the host, rather than the registrar.

Although in some cases they may get involved, say if you are trying to scam another company, or use someone's domain name (that's copyrighted).

But overall, you have nothing to worry about.q

Even in most cases of scamming they won't go to the registrar (just so you know).

but I wanted to add: We aren't telling you that you're not going to have any problems, just telling you it's highly unlikely.

    Regards
    Nick

Sorry, i didn't clerify myself, scamming as in if you say have "microsoft.net" and you are selling fake items, or commiting fraud.
If your domain is reported the registrar sometimes gets involved.

I have also heard about godaddy locking your account if they report a domain for scaming.

But yeah as you said, we aren't telling this person he'll NEVER have problems. Just with all the domains we have bought, we have never had those types of problems.

So the likely hood of him having problems are slim.... but don't "quote" us haha.

Ah sorry - my fault, misread what you said there - yeah I agree with that 100%.
