A leftbar or a topbar.

Leftbar, or an ajax slide in, slide out bar (kinda hard)

katz uses a leftbar while phaze uses a topbar

the bar on the left that says the name of the download and where you can rate it. thats the leftbar.

leftbar is better though.

left bar top bar kinda g*y lol i bleeped it

top bars looks better, but i would go for a left bar as all screens are turning wide and more unused space, so stick into left bars.
+ if ur a money geek nothing bad by having 2 bars
