I got sent a DMCA to remove videos from my site. Pretty much half the videos from my site have to be removed. Here is the DMCA

This guy actually got a hold of my cell phone number and called me he probably got the info off my registrar, even though I have domain privacy enabled.

My server is in Netherlands, and I live in Canada. I'm quite sure copyright laws are more lax in Canada/Netherlands then they are in USA.

I embed the videos, from other sites like youtube, megavideo, etc etc. I do not host videos on my server.

Do I have to remove all these videos?

If your host dont think its n issue dont worry about it since it really comes to what they will do.

You should change your links and ask them you dont host it. They may contact YouTube, Megavideo etc. When I say change the links, tweak the htaccess so that when they click the requested removal links, it shows em a 404. And you should be safe. Or change your Sites IP and get private nameservers...

Blah. No need to be afraid. Just tell him something like this:

Dear XY,
I'm not the one you need to contact, as you can see those videos aren't on my server. They're embedded from hosts such as: MegaVideo, YouTube, YouPorn, etc. They should receive this notification, not me. As long as that content is hosted on their servers. You won't see removal of the content on my site.
