    Default got dmca notice

hey guys, need some help here quick, i received an email from a agent behalf of copyright holder he is asking me to remove some links off from my porn site. I removed all of the links he asked, my question is do i need to email them back that links have been removed? kinda scared because if i email them they will have my ip so is it ok just remove the infringed links without letting them that they are removed? thanks guys!!

As long as they are removed, then I do not see the issue with not emailing them back.

Once content is removed you shouldn't have to email them back - but sometimes it's nice for the other person to know you're doing something about it.

    They won't know your IP.

Correct, as long as you send the email using the SMTP from your (web)server they will see the Server's IP address, which is nothing secret.

There is no need to e-mail them back. As long as you have removed the content your safe. I had also received a similar DMCA and just removed the content without emailing back.

Also as CuraHack rightly mentioned, as long as you send the email using the SMTP from your web server they will see the Server's IP address and not your personal IP.
