Default Plus button, let's add a third one?

No, no, the title was sarcastic

Anyways, don't you guys thinks that 1 plus button is enough?

    I mean, why two?

If you are still looking for the right position, I'd go for the left one, between warning & online button Looks good there.

Also, make a custom sexy + button instead of using one from iconspedia

    Cheers

As with nearly all communities they're resistant to change, especially when things have been the way they are for some time. The idea is to increase usage of the reputation system. This was decided upon by using a new icon (regardless of where it comes from, IconsPedia, Google, etc, end result is the same) and moving it more into where the post body is.

Why is there two? Because we're transitioning our users. The reputation button had some use before moving it and we don't want to alienate those users. To some it may be common sense, but others it may not be, especially those who aren't familiar with vBulletin or forum systems in general. So basically the idea is to change the button whilst leaving it where it is for a little while (so people realize that the "+" is indeed reputation) and also reposition it to where it's more obvious and seen. That place was chosen because there's never anything there anyway...

Results speak for themselves so far too. Before the move, we had an average daily reputation usage of 29. Now, after these changes it's 54. It's not massive figures, but that's still nearly double the usage

Personally, I think it's okay that we have two identical buttons. If one is ignored, then perhaps the other is observed.
HATERS GONNA probably bring up some valid points considering I am an ignorant little twat so far up my own ass that i blame my problems on everyone and if you criticize me you're automatically wrong.

That would make if the 2 buttons weren't identical.

True. I never thought of it. A good idea. I support the idea.

    Doing things differently.
I wish the left one would be moved or the report button moved, because afew members get confused and use the report instead of rep

Pointless complaint IMO. Whats wrong with having two?
Its to personal preference, some people will not notice the button underneath the username panel and others will not notice the other one.
Life asked Death: "Why do people love me, but hate you?"
Death responded: "Because you're a beautiful lie and I'm the painful truth."

The fact that the two buttons are not in the same place/position means there's more chances of either being noticed. They don't necessarily have to be different icons.

More so when the functionality is identical. Two different icons depicting the same functionality will only confuse.
