Hi guys pls help in this .i want to remove forum.php from my id .

EX: http://www.xxxxx.com/forum.php , i want to remove forum.php so my id will be http://www.xxxxx.com

rename forum.php to index.php

You didn't say whether you have vps or shared hsting.

VPS:
Edit httpd.conf

Open your Apache configuration file httpd.conf
# vi httpd.conf

Find out line that read as follows:
DirectoryIndex

Now set it as per your requirements:
DirectoryIndex forum.php index.html index.htm default.htm index.php index.pl

Save and close the file. Restart the Apache web server:
# /etc/init.d/httpd restart

If shared it has to be a .htaccess file added or changed.

.htaccess
DirectoryIndex forum.php

Both will force the site to go from http://www.xxxxx.com to http://www.xxxxx.com/forum.php
