Help Regarding Legal Issue
Hello guys ,
i just wanted to know whether it is safe to control my website from india , the site is hosted in us , its a blog linking to movies and doesn't has huge traffic .
the files are uploaded to mediafire and file name contains the site name
e.g "2012_www.sitename.com.mkv"
i have put a disclaimer so that if anyone wants can send an email to me so that i can remove that content .
what are the chances of my site i mean if they found it linking illegal will they first send a notice to take down the site or just search for me ?rajeshjsl Reviewed by rajeshjsl on . No, they wont just try and sue you first, they will try and get you to remove the material.You will get some sort of a warning first.
EDIT: You should move to offshore hosting, just to be on the safe side.

Hong Kong is the safest place right now id get right out of USA straight away.
It's amazing, being in a community can cause hate. Competitors or not - DDOS isn't cool :)

Your host will probably delete all your data before anything. Don't bother with the disclaimer. That is a waste of space. You and the people you are stealing from know your site is not legal. Move offshore and make a DMCA page to have stuff removed
