Is your primary to play games that are not Linux native, then you can well reinstall Windows, saving you and us too much trouble.

To play HD material should be no problems, which player do you use? which driver do you use? what format are the files in?
I'm trying to play mainly steam games, they don't want to work correctly. Last time i used Ubuntu, everything worked nicely.

The main playback issues I'm receiving, is with 1080P youtube videos, The whole screen becomes very laggy when ever, I start playing a 1080P video.

Including low FPS - During playing games.
