Replacing MySQL with MariaDB in a CentOS VPS

i am using webmin with mysql 5.1.x can some one tell me the step by step process to upgrade to mariadb 5.2.x ?

Remove MySQL rpms from the system.

rpm -e --nodeps mysql mysql-server

Then install MariaDB.

Hmmm.. would PHPMYADMIN work with MariaDB as a panel like it does for MYSQL?

MariaDB is based in MySQL, php scripts like phpmyadmin, forum software, should work without any changes over a MariaDB environment.

No, as said in previous post, MariaDB is based in MySQL. It's also a binary drop in replacement for MySQL.
