humans.txt and robots.txt

You should have heard of robots.txt and ever site should have a robots.txt file. It tells search engines what parts of a website they can access. I also did a tutorial a while back showing how you can link to RSS feeds and Sitemaps in it.

A new idea gaining momentum on the web is a humans.txt file. It contains quick and easy to access basic information for people looking to find who owns the site and to get in touch with them.

Think of how on KWWHunction when your selling a site and they ask you to upload a txt file to prove you own it. Well it's sorta like that.

The cool thing about it is warez has a long history with txt and info files as they are used as a source for information for releases so I think we should embrace this new idea. You can go crazy with them. The guidelines have a rough idea of what you should do but it's not that strict.

It just contains the information about the people who have been part in making the website and some simople stuff That's not something hard or difficult.
