Public Rapidleech-Need help optimizing apache and php for performance of VPS
My VPS has 2 GB dedicated RAM and 2.4 GHz CPU frequency, 1 Gb/s port speed. I have not done any optimization of apache or anything. So rapidleech script currently on a subdomain does not load when like 8 or 9 of my friends start leeching. Site wont even open.
Rapidleech experts or anyone who knows how to optimize apache for performance, please tell me about the apache configuration to be used in httpd.conf or is there any other way to get this done ?
I would really appreciate any helpEnigmatic Reviewed by Enigmatic on . I tried lighttpd on kloxo (im using kloxo as control panel) but it seems to have no effect.
I noticed that php-cgi process is consuming 99% of the CPU. Any suggestions ?

Your going to have to counter in Hard Drives , Personally I hate RapidLeech. Think about the I/O rape it going to do your drives.
Here is what I would get :
Intel Xeon either a 3440 or a E31240
2 x 1TB / 500 GB HDD SATA 2 7K Drives ( If you got some cash on ya get SAS 15K's )
8 GB RAM YOU NEED DDR3 !!!
good port connection

I'd satisfied if the RL jus brings in server cost
Its kinda okay if there is no profit.
My current vps has 100 TB/month traffic, kinda unmetered ! But something's terribly wrong somewhere, RL runs perfectly for about 10 mins after a server reboot then again page wont even load. What I can find in the processes list is 99% php-cgi usage. Full RAM is not being used.
Man, are you sure there's not gonna be similar issues on a dedi ?
And can you suggest some accelerators that can be used currently on this VPS, anything really to get the RL running smoothly for some days ?
