    Timthumb is a piece of code that you can add to your php files to get images to show up basically. If the theme you are using has got options then I am sure that you can enable the main image from there, there should be an option in your wp-admin for it

    Mate,

    Go to index.php and search for <?php the_excerpt(''); ?> or the_excerpt()

    Just replace it with <?php the_content(''); ?> . Simply replacing excerpt with content. Now the things until the <!-- more --> tag will appear in the index page of your website.
