IF statement for phpbb3 ?

I'm trying to do some sexy stuff on PlatinumW.org but I dunno how I can fix it

What I want:

IF forum(or w/e) = index.php
           thing 1
ELSE 
             blahblah 2
ENDIF

Problem is, I don't know how to use/write the IF statement to check if the current page is index.php or not... this part I mean forum(or w/e) = index.php

Any help appreciated
