I'm not against the fact that they're making money. I'm just against the WAY that they make money. It's like ethics and good business practices have flown out of the window and they feel like they don't want anyone else to have money except them.

Oh, the affiliates will now react to that. I'm also an uploader so I don't deny that I make money from them too. But to justify their bad business practices by saying "they pay us, so wtf?" just isn't right. They pay the affiliates because without the affiliates (or the affiliate programs) they wouldn't be making anything close to a fraction of what they're making now, and affiliates make real cheap labor too.

They have the affiliates doing all the hard work, so they could just sit on their butts and wait for the money to come rolling in.

And I don't know if a lot of people have noticed, FileJungle pays only the uploader who sold a premium account from his/her link, and without rebills too. Their plan looks really awesome until you read the fine print. I think we're heading off topic here...

Anyway, what the 3 amigos (Fileserve, Uploadstation and FileJungle) are planning to do is get the uploaders who aren't aware of what they're up to onboard their newest money train, luring them again with bloated payout figures.

If only the first two amigos weren't notorious for shaving points, maybe the third amigo would look a bit more credible. GIven your "piles of cash" theory and the two precedents, I don't think they had a sudden change of heart to not do the same with the third...

It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, y'know...

And that's the reason why you SHOULD care...
