Building a better file host service

Hello everyone,

My two co-founders and I are developing a file host service. Yes, I know, there are way too many file hosts out there already. But we do believe we're working on something unique and quite different from all the rest. We'll provide more details at a later stage as we get closer to launching.

I'm here today to listen to the community and hear some suggestions you have as to how you imagine an ideal file host.

We started with a $110K budget, most of which I invested myself in the company. Since all 3 of us have extensive technical backgrounds, we didn't need to spend anything on programming and back-end development. By launch day we'll be left with about $80K after spending on our initial infrastructure (servers, bandwidth), design work, office lease, and other misc. expenses.

Simple design (make your web fast), Good speed (both upload and download), should have ftp upload, Pay good money (you don't need to be the top)

More file host means more choice, I like it.

In otherwords, be ethical?

DON'T add download limit for your dear PREMIUM members, just like what freaking fileserve and oron (e.g.) is doing

1- never cheat affiliates
2- offer at least 250Kbps speed for free users
3- professional design
4- offer good support to your customers & affiliates
5- on-time payments


follow that steps and don't be another filedino.com, storage.to, bitshare.com, etc
