Install filezilla server on PC and filezilla ftp client on your home PC.
Open Filezilla Server
From menu , goto EDIT - USERS - General
At right side, click "Add".
Add your username.
There's a password field, enter your password after creating your username.
Now Select "Shared folders" from left and add your drive there. Tick all the options.
And now click OK.
Its done.
Now from your PC, open Filezilla and enter server IP as hostname and login using the login which you created right now.

got a question, might just post here rather than opening a new thread.
if my local ISP speed is slow like 1-2mbps, is it still advisable for an RDP? would it be so laggy that will slow down my progress/activity?
Thanks.

InstantRDP.comIf your net speed is greter than 512 Kbps, you can opt for a RDP. You have 1 Mbps , so it's fine for you.
It shouldn't be laggy usually. But sometimes depends upon the location of the RDP server.
Do not forget to take a demo before buying any RDP to check speeds and routing (lagging issues) to your ISP.

Welcome.
