They increased there release update frequency only because Chrome does it too.

It's just a way of advertising. There are only a few small updates so I recommend you to stay on the RELEASE channel.

It is bad advertising when they change the version name every other week.

Firefox is going crazy from one update to the next there is only one or 2 tiny changes which is not really worth it. They should spend more time on these updates

Install Add-on Compatibility Reporter and every extension will work like google toolbar etc basically everything so you don't get a headache after every update because your addons are not compatible with the latest versions.
