DegBan FAIL

Ok some of you may know me but for those who don't i run www.pornmade.com which is a large adult blog. I get many DMCA complaints on a weekly basis and i always remove the content and blacklist the keywords to try ensure that the content isn't posted again.

But i have been in talks with a takedown notice orgnisations company thingy called DegBan and i can't believe how stupid they are.

Here are some of the emails:

Hi Pornmade,

I can identify that the blog has got so much copyright material of our clients viz. Brazzers, Reality Kings. I am an independent DMCA agent.
My name is Geremy Gomes. I would like to contact your host and domain provider. But at the same time, i would like to know if you people can pay an amount of 200$ and settle down the matter and remove contents of some of our esteemed clients. I am sure if i do indepth investigation the site will surely be taken down and your loss can be more.

Keep me informed. Let me know about the course of action you would like to follow.

My response

I will remove all reality kings/brazzers material and apply a blacklist to their material so it wont appear on our blog any more. I will ensure that the content is removed by 8pm GMT.

Ok now this i find interesting, he basically wants us to pay "him" for so called damages which i find a little confusing. I actually know people from brazzers as we did a link exchange campaign with them not so long ago and they wanted us to promote their website with a few advertising campaigns so obviously this guy is trying to make money from copyrighted content.

Let me clarify you that we are a Copyright protection company proving the service to many companies. The content in your website is a clear indication of copyright violation, may be happening in your ignorance. My job is is to find websites which is sharing content solely owned by our clients. This is not just about Brazzers and RealityKings.

If you wish to go for a agreement, we can decide upon that, which will be between us and i will help you out. The other option will be, i will simply do my job to report the website. I see that your website has good volume of traffic, like you mentioned one million visitors. I dont want you to face any unpleasant situation.

I would like to know what action you have taken against our previous Requests. There are still content from our clients viz. 21sextury.com, Bangbaors.com and TeenMegaworld.com, Ztod.com. You will have to skip content from these sites. If you would like to have an intermediary agreement, i am willing to negotiate. I will appoint a guy who will guard against the possible DMCA complaints and will also contribute to the existing content of your site.

I find it funny that he now talks about another company Ztod, i know the owners of Ztod as i talk to him on ICQ, but what's even funnier is that now he is basically saying that he will "appoint a guy" to guard our website against other DMCA organisations? and will CONTRIBUTE to the site???? WTF!

I am sorry for the typo. I will provide you the list of clients. We are going through some updation. I will definitely update you about the list. Then i hope you will put a bar on the content. You can go on with websites which are not our clients and which were our former clients. I have some accounts with them, which you can use. Also i like your money making machine. I hope i will get some bucks too. As i am an independent agent, i do not wish to make anybody unhappy.

I can still find content from Bangbros, TeenMegaworld and Ztod.
If you wont act immediately, i wont hesitate to contact namecheap and Leaseweb the domain and host provider respectively.
You are simply eating my client's money alone. This not good.
I want my share, else i will report your blog for active copyright violations. I need immediate answer.

I have given you names of three clients of us viz. Bangbros,Teenmegaworld and Ztod. I can see tons of copyright material of these clients of us. I dont want to list out individual links of each video which you are sharing illegally. I want a straight deal of Revenue Share. Else it will take hardly any time to shut the domain service and hosting. Being a british, you know very well Copyright acts of United Kingdom. I dont like to lengthen the conversation...So you need to act swiftly...Remove content of our sites. Secondly pay 700$ per month or give posting privilege to a guy appointed by us..You must pay us, or allow us to generate revenue, else we wont hesitate to act. This is not a threatening mail, but a suggestive mail.

This is hilarious, ill be posting these emails on GFY.com and other large adult webmaster forums and they will find the way you do business very amusing, and DEGBAN will surely get a bad name, after doing research on your company you're already classed as jokers in the copyright infringement world.

You are basically trying to get money from us for the copyrighted content posted on our website which is 100 times worse than what is actually happening on pornmade.com at the moment and you are asking to post on our website at the same time?

Ofcourse i understand copyright laws in the UK, that's why im not hosted in the UK you moron.

I suggest you get me a list of URLs for content that you wish removing for your so called "Clients" otherwise i can't act.

I know the owners of Ztod and i even have them on ICQ and they will find your actions very VERY interesting. I have had talks with Bangbros already, they do link exchanges with us and i plan on promoting their content so you really have no feet to stand on.

Feel free to complain to our host and domain provider and ill take it up with them like i always do.

We have a good relationship with all organisations who dedicate in removing copyrighted content and we blacklist specific keywords to ensure the content of their clients is not posted on our blog again. All these organisations give us a list of copyrighted content and we remove accordingly but you have provided us with nothing.

DegBan.com seem to be a real dodgy bunch of people who are clearly trying to profit from the copyrighted content of their clients whilst already charging them a monthly fee for the removal of content.

The porn industry is pretty ruthless, i get DMCA complaints from the same people who want to do partnerships with me, as long as they are earning money they don't care what you do with the content tbh.

It's marketing. They are using a well visited site to advertise their content, it is what a lot of companies do. vBulletin do it, all other popular BB creators do it, they like their scripts to be nulled to a certain extent, to get exposure, more exposure = more sales. They obviously don't condone it in public, but behind closed doors they like their content being spread, I do NOT mean on every 100 million warez forums out there lol. A site like this is a great example of a way to get more sales. Must say, great ploy there H3x, I like your style mate.
