    Default How to download huge Cpanel backups?

    i have websites which has a lot of attachments...and my whole website backup (including database) will be around 1GB which is not at all possible for me to backup since i have slow net connection..now how do i backup it?

    Back it up thru SSH then just remote upload it to another server or a filehost such as Filesonic,etc.

    And even if its slow, leave it overnight to download because if that site somehows gets messed up is better to have at least a 6 month old backup than nothing at all.

    you can also use rapidleech for this purpose
    transload the backup file to a rapidleech then ftp it to your new host using rapidleech

    Get a small/cheap VPS. Take a backup of your cPanel account. Move the backup from the home directory to the public_html folder.

    On your VPS use the "wget" command to download the backup.

    If none of this is a option there is always asking a trusted user here who is willing to take the time to download and reupload the files for you if your moving hosts...

    If not then best thing to do is compress them into smaller archives and download them to your pc and when you have the new server upload them one by one and restore them

    ..... Not all hosts give ssh access... especially for shared hosts....

    You can make an FTP backup, from one host to another.
