Default Are you sure you want to do this? - Wordpress Problem

Since I have updated Advanced Excerpt (I guess my theme can't work without that plugin), this problem appeared. I can't remove/install any other plugins, and I have deleted Advanced Excerpt from the plugin folder but it still shows it as active. I can't make new posts, I can't use other plugins, basically my blog does not respond to anything.

Did you try deleting its tables from the database?

    How can I do that?

First, make a backup of your database, that's a must in case things went wrong. Go to PHPadmin > your database name > and drop the plugins tables. Give it a try.

I don't see anything related to Advanced Excerpt here.

Before you go ahead , go to your cpanel and repair your DB from Database menu ...

I have checked and repaired the database and everything showed up as OK.
    The problem is still there.

I guess you didn't disabled plugin before deleting its folder.

If you have backup data(some day's old)..you may need to use it.

    Follow the below step :

1.Just login to your Host..using FTP
2.Rename the plugin dir completely ..for example : plugins_outbreak
3.go your WP Admin dashboard...this will deactivate everything
4.Go back again in FTP and re-name your plugin dir back to real name..plugins
5.Now re-activate your plugins one by one.

If you have backup...You can delete the plugin dir and then re-upload plugins dir from your backup.
There are people that watch things happen, people that make things happen and people that wonder what the hell just happened.
