That's a theme feature, not a plugin.

or is there no other way to put that on my own theme?

yes! its by default in the template design

Its in the theme but you can easy add something like it in your site, if you use WP there loads of plugins like this one

also there is slide show apps around like Aleo 3D Flash Slideshow etc, Depends on your skill level.
