its free for us, but the real thing is ld doesnt want us to change his sharingzone links with ours because then we cut out his piece of our pie. the way its setup when you install it is with the "high speed mirrors"
leading to sharingzone we all know about, thing is if a user purchases from sharingzone using the default link LD gets paid. its a GENIOUS marketting plan. i mean think about it you develop something great, release it for free. people are going to use it ALOT, EVERYWHERE. and built in are ads that get you paid. instead of one or two sites with your ads now you get every site who uses the script promoting your ads.
i like ddl cms except for the skin(s?) and some other minor features, one being the customization aspect.
imo both parties are right, (jmz&ld) brandon should gtfo though*.
cheers

InvestDude.comLittle Dragon, its understandable that you consider JMZ to be your rival/competitor... but we all have competitors/rivals in our own businesses, and we don't go bad mouthing them constantly without any reason. Doing this doesn't make you smart or doesn't make the other members respect you more. Its not like JMZ is advising people to decrypt your script and remove sharingzone and replace it with latestdownload links. The only thing he did before was alert users of that advertisement email sent out by DDLCMS, and ONLY after he made that thread you decide to provide the option to disable it on the next release. So why is that mate? Probably JMZ hit a nerve and now you are pissed off at him.... but bad mouthing him constantly just for that makes you look more guilty.
About the script, I agree with you that users should follow the TOS if they use the script, no arguement on that.InvestDude.com Learn to make money by investing in hyips (high yield investment programs), affiliate marketing and tons of other method ;)

I agree, JmZ said clearly he thinks "If the owner made it encrypted, it should stay that way". Little Dragon, there is no need to lash out (sp?) at him. I agree even if people do privately decode your script they should keep it to themselve and be private, not post it on a webmaster forum, even though it's common knowledge, there is no reason to disgrace the owner of the script who is an active member on the forums. There should be a little more loyalty and respect than that.

no offense but you sound really soft lol. i know i said oh brandon should gtfo but i didnt really mean gtfo like go now lol. TBH even though alot of us knew how to do this before its only the fact that you stated it publicly and its prolly linkbacked to google by now haha. idc personally that you shared it. even though i may have said it in that manner.
see you around the scene?

Don't try and make a business out of warez and expect it to be like in the corporate world. IMHO no1 should bitch at Brandon for "exposing" this info. This is the warez scene. To bad some people are quick to forget this is the wild wild west.
LD clearly supports warez by creating this script for the scene, being a member here and having a warez forum. But when someone contributes to the warez community by making a (his) script truly free then it becomes an issue? Go legit if you want your ToS to actually mean something. I mean propz for the script but you are in no position to complain when this kind of stuff happens. No one here is.
I have no problem with you LD. You seem like a good, trustworthy guy. But you knew this was coming even before you started developing the script. Warez and profit isn't a smart business model.

InvestDude.com^ I don't agree with you hyperz.
just because its the warez scene doesn't mean we are moral-less motherf*ckers with no respect for our community and its members. Warez is about f*cking billion dollar corporations like M$, Adobe and RIAA and helping the smaller ppl (us), not f*cking each other webmasters and making money.
Example : you claim sharpleech to be free, yet you donot release the source code.. why? it wud definately help the warez scene rite? the application if it was open source cud hav been developed into something much more greater. but you fear someone's gonna change it and remove your credits. not so much warez spirit hmm?InvestDude.com Learn to make money by investing in hyips (high yield investment programs), affiliate marketing and tons of other method ;)
