    Default How to Create and unpack .rar archive in Linux with GUI?

    As titled, can anyone please help out? I am using LinuxMint/Ubuntu.

    You don't need GUI to compress/decompress *.rar file. Just use your terminal. It's quite simple.

    Exactly as said above. You can show the progress of unpacking and creation though. Is that what you wanted?

    I am more comfortable with GUI (I use mostly windows).

    you can install unrar in your software/program manager/centre whatever it's called on Mint, just search for unrar package, install it, and than right click on any .rar file will unpack it

    and you won't be able to create any archives this way, cuz this package is only created for unrar

    you can try using winrar via wine mate
