Would Atom Based server work for me?

I am into Indian and Pakistani mp3 songs... I have about 5K unique views a day...
I am just lost with the type of server I should have....

I was looking at ATOM based servers and they look cheap and affordable to me... Would it be good enough to serve mp3 traffic?
I just want to use it as a file serving server. Will use nginx and php on it. Nothing else required. I am expecting about 100 to 150 downloads at peak time. each mp3 is about average 6mb.

Any suggestion?

Depends on Location.

I'm guessing you've been looking at a kimsufi?

OVH don't like warez (mp3's / avi's.)

100 to 150 downloads per what? Minute? Hour? Day? Week?

An atom should work just fine, it's the HDD that you should be worried about.

yea I was looking at kimsufi. Though there are more providers and I just wanted to clarify. So who else is mp3 friendly? I follow DMCA requests lol

100 to 150 at the same time.... busiest time of the website i guess. Usually around 10 parallel downloads.

Have you emailed Ecatel?

They offer a dual core for $60/$80 i think.

Anyway I will try to find Ecatel... For now google shows a broken website with broken links... Not sure if its the same Ecatel you guys are talking about.
