Is there an option in the ACP like in phpbb3 ?
Enable GZip compression:
Generated content will be compressed prior to sending it to the user. This can reduce network traffic but will also increase CPU usage on both server and client side.
Or you can enable GZip via htaccess

You can disable image hotlinking, that may help a little

Also your background image forumbg.jpg is 60.1KB, that could be hosted on tinypic.
Check in awstats in cpanel, down the bottom it will show you what files/images use the most bandwidth so you have a better idea what to optimise.Gavo Reviewed by Gavo on . Bandwidth problem.. Hello guys, i just want to know is there any way to decrease the bandwidth consumption. My site was down three times the previous month, coz of exceeding the bandwidth limit. And yesterdays bandwidth usage was 6744mb. Please give some suggestions, how you maintain your bandwidth usage.. Rating: 5

- As has been said, move as much images as possible to tinypic + enable gzip.
- Compress your javascript and css cache.
- If vB has such an option, cache the css to a text file (right now your css gets inlined).
- (a bit extreme though) Find a script to compress your HTML output before it is send to the client.
- (optionally) Remove mods or template parts which are not needed so the html output gets reduced.
^Those should put together should save you a good bit of bandwidth.
