    Thanks guyz ... now both have dis advantages and advantages ... as i already mentioned i have 500watt power supply .. will it work fine with the ati card ??? i searched and found 550ti needs 450watt so there will be no issue with that card ...i have also heard ati cards are having prob running some games as mafia 2 doesnt run with this ati card ... dont know the reason but im much interested in the ati one ..

    Dont think the ATI card may run on a 500Watt PSU.
    You may have to upgrade.

    In performance it is ATI !!

    but for long term use and stability its nVidia

    *i heard ATI is better for HD/multimedia performance*
    while nvidia for gaming and graphics
    I use nVidia and has always used the same. I like it though its expensive.
    Its worth

    You would need a better PSU for ATI i think GL!

    if ati doesnt work with the power supply then ill go with the nvidia one

    You should update your PSU as well, the card alone uses 450WAT and you have 500.
