problems with nameservers

I have just bought a vps and I am having problems getting the nameservers to switch over.

I can set ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com but when it ask me to input my ip addresses that is where I have the problem.

I put them both in and when I click on the button to get them sorted I get the following message

What am I doing wrong and/or how do I fix it.

contact your registrar to solve this problem may be back end problem. or domain may be locked

Have you created child nameservers using these IP's in your domain panel?

The control panel I am using is webmin. Still trying to work it our lol

I have contacted the people who I am getting the vps off to see if they have any advice.

You have to create your child namserver using your IP in the domain control panel !

I think I have sorted it. What I had to do was to go into webmin and configure everything from scratch and it does seem to be working now.
