TubeNow Working on IPB 3 - if any one need thn reply here. it is one problem remaining - it shows all post not only first post. i want to show it only first post. Anyone can help me if you want.

The way you've done it is only gonna make it work on sections open to guests.

wow it works on IPB2.3.x and the new IPB3 now. Didn't used to last I checked a week ago.

The way tubenow works it will check the whole page and all replies for links. If you have a SEO mod that picks up keywords and links and add's them to the meta keywords or description it will check them as well. I find this sometimes causes problems as the description SEO mightn't pick up the full url and TubeNow say's the page has dead links. It could be coded to only check the body of the post but el_j would have to do that. It's a bit of work and not really worth it.

As far as it only checking guest areas you have to go into your ACP and go to Tools & Settings -> Search Engine Spiders -> Spider Bot User-Agent -> and you'll see a list of spiders. There you should add 'TubeNow' (that's for IPB2.3. I'm sure it's similar for 3.0x)

To make sure the Spider has access to all the area in the middle of the page is 'Treat spider/bot as part of which group?' where you can set what group it belongs to. I've created a custom group for spiders and let them view everything a regular member see's just not reply, post etc.

i added the code above and it doesnt grab the links from the page at all it just opens the tubenow site

Just to clear this up, the thing I posted was just to show that kamrul was copy/pasting (some would call it ripping) my implementation of the TN checker. Which is the reason why I changed it again. That HTML snippet was not meant to be a "how to add TN" thing.
