does fileserve keep download logs?

how long is the logs kept?

sure, everything is logged, but i don't know for how much time they keep it.

no no i don't use them... if you are not one of the top fileserve uploaders/downloaders you don't need to worry.

most people use servers to upload with.. not their own home connection

im sure some type of logs are kept. although they state they wont give out your information... but there are other means in finding out.

Chill, not like they are going to bust millions of people who downloaded/uploaded stuff.

It all costs. They can't afford to go and bust individuals. They only want to take down big fish.

how does this work? is it a virtual private machine?

You don't upload files directly from your computer. Instead, you use remote computer to download stuff to it and then upload from it to filehosts.

what Smith said.. either windows remote desktop or linux vps with a script.

.. and if i were you.. i wouldnt "try it out". its already a saturated market. better to just make money a legit way.

They can get your IP from the boards on which you posted links(Assuming you posted with your home connection)
