go to youtube and search thenewboston. Trust me, hes much better than most of the books out there specially if you are really new at this. For specialization and hardcoreness, use the books. but for starting, use online tuts, they are more user friendly.

i already have learnt a lot from his channel mate.
i`m not totally newb to this.i know how to make my own simple cms using php+mysql.now its just plain text kind of system(get what i mean?)i want to learn integration with css, making html5 standard pages, make a custom coded cms.
in short,i want to specialize in this field.i want to learn how to interact with other websites/apps.parsing data via xml / collecting user defined data from other websites API(json??) and analyzing it in real time to generate results.(i have an interesting project in mind for the "project" part of the course as well)
thanks for your tips though
@ALL:thanks for your interest. The reason i`m looking for books is that they censor sites at the institute(for obvs reasons youtube etc are banned). They dont allow usd disks etc for security reasons. So i`m only left with books.
