domain jurisdiction

hi there i dunno if this question has been asked before but for example if i bought a .nl domain or .ru domain will this be out of jurisdiction of usa or is every domain up for grabs

Well, your domain cant be locked by complaint! but i dont know how long the domain registrar will take to comply to rules and regulations!

if you get *****.nl or whatever... make sure you're with a registrar for that certain country... like for .ru, nic dot ru... etc. getting .nl with godaddy is stupidity

Only .com .net and .org are in US jurisdiction

@cvrle77, wrong. there are many owned by Verizon and its subsidiary. Few are .cc, .biz etc.
