JayOS is a live CD Linux distribution intended for use as a more secure mobile environment. It integrates in-RAM filesystem encryption with plausible deniability for a system that can be difficult to alter without rebuilding. This offers a user with a high degree of data integrity; since all filesystems are either static or encrypted, the system is resistant to physical attacks. It features many development, network security, and filesystem tools, and host virtualization with QEMU. This distribution runs well on systems where hardware resources might be minimal. 128MB RAM will allow for an well-equipped CLI and shell-tool environment, while a fully functional standard desktop will run swiftly and entirely from 1 GB of RAM. It is based on Linux From Scratch.
