Yeah I agree with what you say about b4rt but are they the only clients i can install in a php environment ?

The problem I have is that the torrents on TF and b4rt keep stopping on my DirectAdmin server, I guess its because as I do something in the admin panel ( DA ) it stops and restarts apache ?

Which is no good for people that want to seed back and the torrent keeps stopping

    Cheers

I would love to use rtorrent with rutorrent but if i install that via putty wont that screw up the directadmin ?

I also want to make multiple instances of the torrent client on different domains, is this possible ?

    Cheers

how much RAM you got on your server?
tf/b4rt shouldn't utilizing apache much, try switching the client to transmission to lighten the load

Its got 2gb of ram, i dont think its a question of over usage on the resources, as i only have 1 torrent on there for testing, im pretty sure its directadmin restarting itself everytime i add a new domain or do some other stuff in the admin panel which is fine normally but it keeps stopping the torrents.

I wonder if thier is an auto restart script to start the torrents again ?

Cheers for all the answers ...keep them coming

    Cheers

well if the torrent is already started there's no reason it will be stopped even when DA restart all of it services (apache, bind, ftp, etc) because DA simply have no control over it. flux only use apache for administration to send commands to the clients (transmission, tornado, etc.).

you can try activate the fluxdaemon then turn on the maintenance option so that any dead torrents will automatically restarted according the given intervals you set there.

Well im at a loss then.

I have just added a fresh b4rt install and added a torrent.

All was running fine, then i added a new domain in the DA admin panel, and the torrent stopped and locked up, wont stop/start/restart not even from superadmin its just jammed ?

    Cheers

i wonder why w'd u install rutorrent via putty when you have DA on board? i'd rather use a simple curl file fetch unzip and install ..i'd only install the modules needed by rutorrent via putty...

and webmin/virtualmin is the coolest cp ever for this shit
