Validating site

Hi

I have a wp porn blog running on hostgator and I have filehosts who I want to validate my site with (for domain sales) - it's extabit. Now I have no issues using the meta tag route (did it for filsonic, oron etc) but Extabits meta tag is not validating for me. So I thought I would go the route of

"For website example.org approval create a file with a text example@gmail.com-xxxxxxxxxx, accessible at: http://example.org/xxxxxxxxx.txt". to validate my site (much like people do when they want to prove ownership.

The problem is I dont know how, can I do it through Wordpress or do I have to ftp the file straight to my hoster if so any tips????

Go To Your CPanel Of Hosting
Go To Your Website Root Directory
Add A New TXT File And Put The Extabit Validitation Code In That File And Save
