Most of us here on KWWHunction know of or use Torrents. You install a torrent client like uTorrent and it downloads by connecting to different users. When your downloading it downloads different parts so you can't really watch or play what you're downloading until it's finished but yesterday Bram Cohen, the author of the BitTorrent peer-to-peer sharing protocol, showed off his latest creation BitTorrent Live.

This new latest type of torrent which has just entered Beta will allow you to stream and watch content as it happens so it's great for movies, TV shows or live sporting events. The problem currently to stream live events is you need a huge infrastructure to allow hundreds if not millions to connect and download at the same time. This solves that problem as people download from each other making the streaming of live content free and of a much higher quality with a delay they claim of no more than 5 seconds.

So what do you guys think? Will this be the answer to the file host problem like Megaupload we've had recently?
