    that should do!

    make sure that you reboot after the upgrade to load new kernel.

    Use

    uname -r

    to find kernel version

    Thank you mate!

    # PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
    # in /etc/yum.repos.d

    When I run cat /etc/yum.conf I notice this:
    distroverpkg=redhat-release

    Is not better to have distroverpkg=centos-release?
    Or doesn't matter?

    Thank you once again

    CentOS is a RedHat based OS so these settings are correct.

    If you do a "yum update -y" it will simply update all packages including kernel.

    Make a reboot to load new kernel.
