The first is better. i suggest you to change the color of this letters: General Discussion, Forum Information & Suggestions, Newbies ..... to red or black

don't know where color codes, you maybe know?

in your style.css template, and after

color:

put the color hex.

if you not can, upload your style.css, I try to modify.
