500 Internal Server Error??

i just bought hosting for one of my upcoming site & whatever i try to install i get this error "
500 Internal Server Error



i tried almost every script available as free source wordpress/phpbb/wallpaperscript anything i upload & try to open i receive same error & funny thing its been 24hours my hoster unable to solve this issue.


anybody have any idea why its happening?


help needed.

hi wrestledld,

from looking at your cpanel log, it seems like your host has limited their cpanel permissions hence you are getting this error.

Your host needs to go through ssh and chmod your public_html folder to 750 also your @www symlink folder to 750 and also make sure he chowns your home folder recursive to give your username full read & write permissions

Instead of checking the cpanel error_log, please check the apache error_log located at /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log. Please let me know how you have installed wordpress?. In cpanel there is automated scripts like fantastico or softaculus to install wordpress.
