recovery my documents

Hi all, I have a hp laptop, I made a recovery tools, from my hard drive, but I forgot to put some important files (save them elsewhere) and then restore them, I would like to ask ....
if there is any solution to that? were the data in the folder on my hard drive just in my documents, I used recovery files, but does not give me my documents folder, only the C: \ currently using windows 7 and before too ... any recommended program, any solution? thank you very much in advance.
