FileShoppe.netDo you mean, how do uploaders pay the FileShoppe fee of $0.01 per 100MB?
We use CarrotPay's 'split-pay' system in order to split the payment into multiple parts, and those parts get sent to the corresponding merchant accounts.
For example, our fee is just US$0.01 per 100MB.
If you upload a 100MB file and you set your own price of $0.10, then the split is $0.09 : $0.01. $0.09 is sent DIRECTLY to the uploader's merchant account and $0.01 is sent to us. We verify the payment, and then deliver the content accordingly.
If you set a price of $0.00, meaning the file is freely available (and can therefore be used for typical file shareing), we share 20% of the revenue with the uploader.
So in the above scenario, an uploader may upload a 1GB file and make it 'free'. If a user downloads it using the premium service, it will cost US$0.10. The uploader will recieve $0.02, and again it is sent directly to the uploader's merchant account.
It is important to note that as CarrotPay supports micropayments up to 1/1000 $1 (meaning 0.1 cent), we are able to split even 1cent payments.
The smallest fee we charge is 1cent.
So here are some examble fees.
0 - 100MB = $0.01 (1cent)
175MB = $0.018 (1.8 cents)
350MB = $0.035 (3.5 cents)
1GB = $0.10 (10 cents)
Notice that we can charge downloaders in fractions of a cent for transactions greater than 1 cent. When splitting payments with the uploader, it is rounded UP to the nearest 1/10 of a cent.

I do believe there is a fee of around US$30 or so. However, it is only HK$10 for HK banks and I believe UK/EU banks will soon be supported for at a much lower rate than $30 (maybe 5Euros or less). And the same goes for US transfers.
That means I can charge $100 for 1 GB file, you get .10 cent, I get $99.90 Thats superb mate

We are not interested in handling fund accounts for our users as this created another layer of security and brings up issues of trust. Using our current model, there are no trust issues. You receive the funds instantly and can be sure we do not, and CAN NOT cheat you of your hard earned cash. Just remember to enter your Merchant ID correctly!
You should increase this. [re. 20%]
