Any difference between xxx.com and www.xxx.com

I m using wordpress.
In the setting, I can set my website url as "xxx.com" or "www.xxx.com?

A question is that
when I m using google to search.
I can get more result by "site:xxx.com" than "site:www.xxx.com"
So Is that mean It's better to set my site address as "xxx.com"?

You can redirect one to the other.

Do that via your domain registrar or using a .htaccess file.

You can setup more subdomains if you want too.

It is mostly a preference thing. I prefer xxx.com, without the www.

When you register a domain name, you have to take www away anyways (ex: Godaddy).
