    Default Rude and unprofessional

So I have decided to venture and branch off in a new experiment with a forum and I found this host that was appealing.

Now my current host, Kristihost, is superb and I love the company....However, I'd prefer to separate my two websites as much as possible so I decided to take out a second host.

So I signed up for the new host 4 days ago and already I realized this was not going to be as good as the initial and current service i had with kristi.

    Day 1:
Asked some questions about the host.
Their last downtime(When it occured and for how long)
How long they were in business?
    How large is their clientbase

Overall my questions were answered but not as politely or even friendly. Not rude...Just not as inviting.
Plus, it seems a bit unprofessional for me to be answered with Yep or Nope.

Also, he was using an android phone to communicate with me which resulted in 2-5 mins delays in his responses.

    Day 2:
There was a downtime for about 20 minutes. The site was really slow and at times would not load up at all.
The explanation as to why was not really explained but i didn't make a big deal about it. It was 20 minutes.
though it was alarming a bit as this was only Day 2 and there was already issues. But i decided to overlook it and keep hoping for better service.

    Day 3:
I was at school and I come home and see my site is down again....It took an hour or so for it to come back up but god knows how long it had been down as I had been at school for about 8 hours.

So i came home did some research and found a new company to try.

    Day 4:
I decide to contact them via their live support(they have no phone number) to cancel. Most companies have the option to cancel service via the client area but i did not see said option.

    This was at 8 a.m.

I check in all day long for the live chat to be up. For the past four days the chat sporadically opens up whenever they feel the need to.

So i ask them about their customer service hours....I get a general answer
    "From Morning to night"

Except...it is now 6 pm and they are just NOW online

So i request a refund and come to find out, they don't offer refunds except on a free trial. Except i thought i was on a free trial. According to the person, I signed up for a PRO account. Except they have been emailing telling me that i need to upgrade my account because my free trial ended so i was under the impression iw as under a free trial.

According the owner, it was an email script error and they were not going to honor the refund.
I debated with the dude for about 20-30 minutes about how that is not good business practice because this whole time I was under the impression I was on a free trial and their emails were actually reinforcing my thoughts on this.

he still saw nothing wrong with this and it went on for another few minutes till he said this....

and i replied back with this

It was never about the cash. It was 3 freaking bucks. I am not broke by any means. It was about the principal of the matter that the company was sending emails to me for the past two days telling me to upgrade my account from a free trial and then trying to deny any responsibility or even try to understand where my confusion came from. Instead I was being blamed for being mislead as it was my own fault that their company was sending me the wrong email

Since he said if I needed more money I should have asked for about 200 bucks so i can get a good VPS.

I've since decided to start my second website with Liquid web.
Lesson learned: If the first conversation you have with the company is mediocre, don't sign up for service.
