Default Home page removed from google search after DMCA

So today i noticed that my site's home page had been removed from google's search results. So i went to my google webmaster account and sure enough i received an email from google telling me that my domain has been removed due to a DMCA notice they received yesterday.

Although my site's traffic hasn't reduced by a huge margin i was wondering if there was a way to get my homepage re-indexed?

this is new to us.. I don't think they will allow re-index.. maybe it will be better to use social media to promote your content..

I dont think that will work seeing my site does link to copyrighted content.

I'm already doing that but its kind of annoying to loose 10% of your traffic this way.

Sound like you could have gotten a DMC sent to you first then you ignored it so they sent it to google next about 85% of the time they will send the DMCA first to the site owner

No. I dont ignore any DMCA notices sent to me. Besides search results are removed all the time but removing the home page is quite rare as far as i can tell.

I guess the only viable option is to get a new domain and do a 301 redirect to it.
