Default Does Google use the "keywords" meta tag?

Before saying anything you really need to take a look at the video released by Google on youtube regarding the meta keywords.

In my opinion it's just a smart way to keep their real secret algorithm out of the lights. This video will solve the clarity of many SEO questions some of you might have.

    Discuss it!
You believe the video or not?
Will you be changing your SEO methods?

Don't they work via meta desc pagerank and page title? I was sure before I seen the video they don't crawl keywords.

Yeh they must have disabled it because of keyword spamming or 'bombing'

I still think to an extent, the keyword compile, is them compared to anchors, which have those exact keywords. then those landing pages are your 'higher' ranked internal pages..
    My opinion.

    EDIT: GOOD keywords*

meta-keyword doesn't significantly change/improve rankings. i have tested this myself.. but no1 can be sure, if Google does/doesn't look at keywords...
they might still be comparing the overall page keyword density to the meta-keywords. So its better to have relevant keywords on your meta-tags. But I pretty much believe, you won't see any great change in rankings due to this.
